So unless you have been living under a rock the past 2 days, the city management of Boston has overreacted to a unique marketing campaign and declaring images like the one above as a bomb hoax. Similar campaigns in other cities were successful, like New York. The city of Boston’s traffic stood still. Trains stopped. Commuters were frustrated. The hoax is the fact that Boston and the state have arrested the paid installers and Turner Broadcasting is offering to pay for the cost of the “hoax” emergency response. The real hoax is declaring a few signs as bombs before checking their facts.
The campaign will more than likely attract more viewers now. Way to go, Cartoon Network. Boston? Get a life.
