While being interviewed this week by reporters in Tuscaloosa, the Alabama Crimson Tide football coach decided to use an unsavory title for some Louisiana people, such as “coonass”.
“He was walking down the street yesterday before the Sugar Bowl,” Saban said on the taped comments. “He calls me. There was a guy working in the ditch, one of those coonass guys that talk funny.
“I can’t talk like them, but he can. Most people in Louisiana can.”

Apparently, the coach was his reading his own book when he should have been reading “How To Win Friends and Influence People”. Way to go, Coach! You are off to a great start and it isn’t even time for spring training.
