Oklahoma Sooners Heisman-candidate running back Adrian Peterson has made the decision to skip his final senior year and turn pro. Peterson ran for over 4,000 yards in three seasons at OU. His last carry in a crimson jersey was a touchdown run against Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl.
In my mind, Peterson was a class act. He knew the attention was on him every down he played but rejected it for humility instead. If he stays healthy, he can serve an NFL team well. I imagine there is great rejoicing from the rest of the Big 12 conference.
