Womb With A View

elephant_in_the_womb.jpg The National Geographic channel will soon be showing a series titled “In The Womb” on December 10th. The purpose being to simply show fetal development for various animals such as a puppy, an elephant and a dolphin. They have also recently shown human fetal development in a separate show.

While I applaud the technology allowing us to see something as wonderful as fetal development, I have to ask again, “When does life begin?” Is National Geographic now suggesting/admitting that life begins at conception and not at birth? Do the animals shown represent more value than human life? Who would abort a cute little puppy? These species will be shown to respond to stimulus, learn how to swim inside the wombs (dolphins) and more.  When does life begin, in the womb or out?

State your position and explain why in the comments section.
