When the three of us were walking in Trussville’s Civitan park on Sunday, I noticed more than a few disc golfers out there and decided to look online to see what I could find. Sure enough, there is a website/organization called Disc Golf Birmingham
I’ve known about the course in George Ward park but was thrilled when I saw the course here in Trussville, too. I might sneak out there to watch and play.

I haven’t made it out to the Birmingham Kickball league yet that I first mentioned way back in November. Too cold or too busy. I’ll make it out there and have a blast.
I first noticed the Birmingham Vulcans rugby club back in 2002 before I moved down here and have enjoyed watching them since.
What other recreational fun am I missing? Any lacrosse or soccer leagues?
