The Best of 2006- DVDs

dvd1.jpgWonderwife and I are huge fans of Netflix, a service that allows you to have up to 3 DVDs at a time with no late fees and keep them as long as you like. Netflix allows you to create a queue of your favorite movies and rank them in the order you want them. We will drop a movie in the mail, wait a day and boom, another rental returns. Brilliant.

Anyway, here is a list of my favorite DVDs viewed this year.

  1. Lost Season 1- I missed the first season and needed to play catchup.
  2. Millions- Before the conversion of the Euro currency a boy finds millions and donates it
  3. Hotel Rwanda- Heartbreaking true story about genocide
  4. Constant Gardener- no explanation, I just liked it
  5. The Office- The BBC version is hysterical and a bit more crass than the US version.
  6. Beyond The Gates Of Splendor- Missionaries murdered by now-reformed Ecuadorian tribe
  7. Last Holiday- A meek, dying woman redeems her life in more than a few ways.
  8. Band Of Brothers- The 101st Airborne in WW2 from Normandy to VE Day. Excellent.

So there you have it. Time well spent! What are the best movies that you have seen?
