I had the privilege of working with my good friend Andre of The Terminal last night to cover one of the most critical mayoral races of our time. Birmingham voters went to the polls yesterday to elect their choice of leadership that started 10 candidates but really came down to two. Jefferson County commissioner Larry Langford and political newcomer, Patrick Cooper. Langford won in a close race but Cooper is contesting due to "polling issues". My first stop was at William Bell’s campaign headquarters and then on to Cooper’s victory party at Workplay. See complete coverage over at the Terminal.
I enjoyed working with Bob Farley of F8 Photo and John Morse in my first real photojournalist assignment and look forward to working with either men again.
