And then I realized that adventures are the best way to learn.

Blues Jam
Sunday night is Blues jam night featuring the rare Hendrix blues session among the classics.
“If it wasn’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all…”
Dead or Alive
“Try to learn to breathe deeply, really to taste food when you eat, and when you sleep, really to sleep. Try as much as possible to be wholly alive with all your might, and when you laugh, laugh like hell. And when you get angry, get good and angry. Try to be alive. You will be dead soon enough.”
— Ernest Hemingway
Do or Diet
After a ten pound loss I’m stuck. Can’t even get 1 more pound lost. How am I supposed to lose the remaining 15?
Nutrition. It has to be. So I am going radical. Nothing but chicken, fish, fruits, veggies, nuts and beans. Oh boy. I have a lot of work to do.
Dynamo Denbow
DVD enjoyed her first professional sports game at Compass stadium. The Houston Dynamo tied the Portland Timbers 1-1.
Never Too Late
“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, start whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people who have a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.”
— The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Why?
Feeling anxious, frustrated and nervous and I don’t have a good reason for this.
Sleep In
Woke up at 5:30 on a Saturday.
Wrong. So wrong.
Google Camera App
Google updated their stock camera app. Basically they took the best parts of my Nexus 5 camera app and enhanced it.
Added a smart blur for greater depth of field, horizontal panoramas, 50MB photospheres, manual adjustments (like a DSLR) and more. Neat!
Do Not Disturb
After 14 days of work in a row, I’m going to enjoy the hell out of this weekend. First up? Dinner, beers and a nap.
Cord Cutting
I am not a big fan of television programming these days with a few exceptions.
Fortunatley these exceptions have alternative means of distrubution other than a cable or satellite service.
I’ve alternated between Netflix and Amazon Prime. Someday I’ll have to decide.
What about news and sports, however?
I’ve been testing out a new service called Aereo that is in slow release. $8 a month with up to 60 hours of DVR, all online.
That just solved a lot of issues for me and sealed the deal.
With that, I’ve cut costs by cutting the cord.
