Disclaimer: today's LLM's (large language models) are not AI. They are not artificially intelligent. They are not sentient, but rely on prompts and commands. They are programmed and nothing more. Today I am tasking ChatGPT Agents to sort, organize my Documents folder in the MacBook as a test, then report findings before executing any changes. This is called Agentic AI.
Agentic AI is a type of artificial intelligence that can operate autonomously to achieve specific goals with minimal human intervention. It combines automation with decision-making capabilities, allowing it to perform complex tasks and workflows independently.
It took 7 minutes to find, sort and organize all 6,000 files, ignoring the ones that are synchronized to the iCloud.
In that 7 minutes I was able to get the laundry going and grab a beverage to see the results. Now I am moving on to the Media folder. That should take at least an hour.
